Round tip quill brush with natural squirrel hair, short contoured handle in transparent lacquered wood, with heat-shaped binding collar and double brass wire bindings.

Natural squirrel hair is processed using an ancient technique handed down by furriers, characterised by extreme softness and elasticity. The fineness of the fibre and its flexibility, associated with a slow and homogeneous release of water, make it ideal for watercolour and ceramic painting.

Series 168 is made with a bound-by-hand artisan handle, which ensures the natural hair has greater absorbency and a slow release of water. The quill brush is ideal for diluted techniques requiring changes in pressure, making it suitable both for expansive backgrounds and for very subtle and precise details.

The light weight of the short wooden handle helps with quick fields of direction and gripping during precision work. The brushstroke is elastic, soft and keeps its shape for a long time, whilst the range of sizes is broad. Much appreciated by watercolour painters and colour professionals.

THE BRUSHSTROKE

When used at the tip, the line is thin and continuous, elastic and resistant even if extremely soft. When pressure is applied, it has the shape of a broad pointed drop.
