The precious Kolinsky sable hair is ideal for watercolours and extremely diluted techniques such as oil glazes and gouache. The natural hair has an extreme colour absorbency with a slow and homogeneous release, for a continuous and light brushstroke.

Series 101 is characterised by a solid filament at the base, with a flat trapezoidal tip and a broad range of sizes starting from fractions of zero through to 26, perfect for any type of pictorial operation, from very small details to full backgrounds. The flat tip is precise, being perfect for both very thin lines when used on its narrow side and spreading bases on extensive substrates, always whilst maintaining the form.

When pressure is applied, the stroke has a trapezoidal shape. The handle is long, light and suitable for vertical work, where distance is needed between the hand and the work for perspective and a greater overview.

THE BRUSHSTROKE

When used at the tip, the line is thin, continuous and long-lasting. If pressure is applied, the strokes are soft in shape like an elongated leaf.
